Leigh Marling is a filmmaker and photographer based in Venice, California, known for his cinematic eye, sharp visual design, and offbeat wit.

He began his creative journey in London as co-founder of Blue Source, a design studio that evolved into an award-winning directing duo with longtime collaborator Rob Leggatt. Together, they crafted iconic music videos for artists like Fatboy Slim, New Order, The Avalanches, and Dirty Vegas—earning accolades including an MTV Europe Award and a Grammy nomination. Transitioning into commercials, Leigh helped shape campaigns for global brands such as Smirnoff, Snickers, and T-Mobile, building a reel defined by smart storytelling and striking visuals. After moving to Los Angeles in 2011, he began directing solo, taking on work for clients like LEGO, Hyundai, and Applebee’s — including multiple Super Bowl spots.

Now working under his own name, Leigh continues to bring a thoughtful, design-forward sensibility to both his commercial and photographic work.
